Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with acute care experience, ASHA CCC certification, and active MA licensure for an inpatient rehab role requiring Epic proficiency and flexibility to float across multiple sites.

Details

Inpatient Rehabilitation Services unit within a hospital setting
Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
Common diagnoses include bedside swallow evaluations and treatments, cognitive communication assessments and treatments, and complex communication assessments and treatments
Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts (8:00am–4:30pm), with weekends as assigned
No on-call requirements
Floating required across Cambridge, Somerville, and Everett locations — candidates must be agreeable to this arrangement
Epic EMR experience is required
Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply under a local pay rate

Requirements

Active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required — license required if applicable
Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
Current AHA BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience in Speech-Language Pathology matching this specialty
Acute care experience required
Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Epic EMR experience required
Driver's license required

Additional Information

Perform bedside swallow evaluations, cognitive communication assessments, and complex communication assessments and treatments
Orientation is held bi-weekly
RTO must be submitted in advance and is limited to no more than 5 days for the contract
Block scheduling is not permitted
Holiday coverage is required every other major holiday
Flu vaccine required during flu season
Any color scrubs are acceptable
