Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology (IR) position in Pittsfield, MA, requiring at least 2 years of IR experience along with Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, and CCU experience.

Details

• Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) unit within a hospital setting
• Minimally invasive procedures including angiograms, peripheral revascularization, hemodialysis catheter placement, nephrostomy drainage, G/J-tube placement, central line and port placement, pain management interventions, paracentesis/thoracentesis, renal/liver/lung biopsy pre- and post-care, and carotid stenting
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage required if applicable
• Meditech Expanse EMR (highly preferred)

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Defibrillation certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current Interventional Radiology RN experience required
• Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology experience required
• CCU experience required
• IV skills required
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment
• Valid personal vehicle required for this assignment
• IR/Cath Lab skills checklist (current within 1 year) required for consideration
• One supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests after submission will not be considered
• Schedule accommodation requests for 10- or 12-hour shifts will not be considered — 8-hour shifts only
• Attendance at all mandatory facility education sessions is required
