Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a day shift contract position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active professional licensure.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, Nuclear Medicine unit
• Monday–Friday schedule with weekends included in call requirements
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• On-call requirement of 1 week of backup call per month; call hours are Mon–Fri 5:00 PM–11:00 PM and Sat–Sun 7:00 AM–11:00 PM
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• 8-week contract
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Active professional license required if applicable
• Copies of relevant certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO will be approved; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two and may request one holiday off
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
• No special scheduling requests will be considered
