Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a cardiac specialty hospital in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of Pre/Post experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based PACU unit within a cardiac specialty heart hospital
• Cardiac and vascular patient population including CABG, AAA repair, TAVR, EVAR, Fem-Pop/Fem-Tib-Peroneal Bypass, angiogram, pulmonary decortication, and ablation procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts; rotates between opener (5:00 AM–5:30 PM) and closer (8:00 AM–8:30 PM)
• On-call required, including every third to fourth weekend
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Pre/Post (PreOp/PACU) RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 trauma or outpatient setting experience preferred
• Dedicated PACU experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care for cardiac and vascular surgical patients
• All time off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• No mandatory break between assignments required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
