Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Services Manager / OR Scrub position requiring a minimum of 3 years of perioperative experience and CNOR certification.

Details

• Monday–Friday schedule with variable hours
• Role encompasses both departmental management and hands-on scrub responsibilities in the OR
• Ability to scrub in general and orthopedic surgeries required

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Maine or a compact license currently in hand
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (may be obtained within 6 months), PALS (may be obtained within 6 months), and CNOR
• Minimum 3 years of perioperative experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Advanced computer skills required
• Demonstrated ability to scrub in general and orthopedic surgeries
• Ability to function independently and act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for management of the Surgical Services Department under the direction of the Chief Quality & Nursing Officer
• Directs age-appropriate surgical services activities and makes administrative decisions within scope of responsibility
• Demonstrates leadership strengths in communication, organization, conflict management, and problem solving
• Applies clinical proficiency in age-appropriate patient care using the nursing process
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality in alignment with organizational mission, vision, and values
