Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Ohio requiring 2 years of cardiac ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and advanced critical care skills including vents, balloon pumps, and PA lines.

Details

• Position is in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a heart hospital
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Rotating day and night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week); days run 7:00-19:30, nights run 19:00-7:30
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period; day shift weekends are Saturday/Sunday, night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity; travelers rotate no more than once every 4 weeks
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Required skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, mechanical ventilators, Swan-Ganz (PA) lines, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and conscious sedation
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide critical cardiovascular care to patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and life-support interventions
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• No 30-day break between assignments required when changing representation at this facility (exception: Sterile Processing Techs still require a 30-day break)
