Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical-Surgical position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and availability for 48-hour work weeks.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical, Surgical, and Oncology unit (37 beds)
• Patient population includes general medical diagnoses, GI, urological, gynecological (hysterectomies, mastectomies), orthopedic/neurovascular, and cardiopulmonary surgical patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6; may flex to 1:8 with LPN support
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• 48-hour weeks strongly preferred; 36-hour weeks may be considered
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other Med/Surg units is required, typically once per week
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Block scheduling cannot be approved at this time

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required (pending license accepted with ETA provided)
• Current BLS certification (AHA); pending accepted with confirmed willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred

Additional Information

• Must be available for the entire first 8 days of the assignment
• Works alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs across Med/Surg units
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be paid at a local rate rather than a travel rate
