Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift position requiring at least 2 years of Cardiovascular ICU experience, including fresh heart cases, and an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting within a regional medical center
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Experience with fresh heart (post-cardiac surgery) patients is a core part of this role
• Charting performed in Meditech EMR
• Night shift: 19:30–07:30 (7pm to 7am)
• Weekly schedule rotates between 36 and 48 hours (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next)
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license — KY or compact license valid in Kentucky required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Experience with fresh heart (post-cardiac surgery) patients required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly schedule
• Travel pairs (two travelers placed together) are generally not permitted
