Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with a minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular ICU experience, including fresh heart cases, for a 13-week travel contract in Kentucky.

Details

• CVICU position in a hospital setting
• Cardiovascular ICU patient population, including post-operative open-heart (fresh heart) cases
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Charting performed in Meditech EMR
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Schedule rotates 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next on a weekly basis

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Experience with fresh heart (post-operative open-heart) patients required
• Valid driver's license required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides intensive cardiovascular nursing care to critically ill patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery cases
• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly schedule
• Candidates must be available to start promptly upon offer acceptance
