Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with a minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular ICU experience, including fresh heart cases, for a 13-week travel contract in Kentucky.
Details
- CVICU position in a hospital setting
- Cardiovascular ICU patient population, including post-operative open-heart (fresh heart) cases
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Charting performed in Meditech EMR
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Schedule rotates 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next on a weekly basis
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), and NIH Stroke Scale
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- Experience with fresh heart (post-operative open-heart) patients required
- Valid driver's license required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides intensive cardiovascular nursing care to critically ill patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery cases
- Orientation is held on a bi-weekly schedule
- Candidates must be available to start promptly upon offer acceptance
