Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Birmingham, AL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Located in the NICU of a 595-bed comprehensive hospital, within a Women's Medical Center housing a Level III NICU
- 32-bed unit caring for neonatal patients
- Patient ratio of 3:1
- Charting via Cerner EMR
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within scope of practice is required, including to facilities within a 25-mile radius if needed
Requirements
- Active AL or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA accepted only; American Red Cross certifications are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- The facility is a Joint Commission-accredited hospital that holds Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Only natural nails are permitted — gel, acrylic, or embellished nails are not allowed
- Birmingham, AL offers proximity to attractions such as Vulcan Park & Museum, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Birmingham Zoo, and the Homewood/SoHo District
