Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP position in a Family Birth Suites unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience and a valid FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Family Birth Suites unit in a hospital setting with a 24-bed capacity, OB-Maternal Level 2 and Nursery Level 1 designation
- Labor patient ratio is 1-2:1; postpartum patient ratio is 3-4:1
- EMR: Epic
- Schedule is 12-hour night shifts, 7PM–7AM, 3 shifts per week
- On-call is required, with a minimum of 12 hours of call per calendar month
- Floating is required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required
- Accredited nursing degree required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Full demographic information required for consideration, including date of birth, SSN, RN license number, and current address
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; this rule is strictly enforced and applies to property ownership or co-signing within the radius as well
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to submission, as it will not be approved after an offer is made
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must report to the facility in person for badge and ID issuance, so local presence on that day is required
- Orientation includes a remote component followed by an in-person credentialing visit
- A clinical interview with HWL is required; candidates should be flexible and comfortable functioning as core staff
- Candidates are expected to secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
