Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) position in California, requiring 2 years of critical care experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) in a hospital setting
• Medium to high acuity patient population ranging from young adults to geriatric patients
• Patient cases include cardiac diagnoses, pre/post CABG surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute MI, post-pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, and pneumonia
• Patient-to-nurse ratio not to exceed 1:4
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 12-hour day shifts with a 0700 start
• Floating to other units, including Med/Surg, required as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to cardiovascular patients with medium to high acuity needs
• Patients are stable but carry a high potential for becoming unstable, with elevated complexity and existing co-morbidities
• Must be a W-2 employee of their agency — 1099 or corp-to-corp arrangements are not accepted
