Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with 1-2 years of acute inpatient rehab experience for a 17-week hospital assignment requiring Epic proficiency and a VA license.

Details

Acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
Neurological and orthopedic patient population including CVA, TBI, SCI, cardiac, and ortho diagnoses
Day shift with a 7am or 8am start time, 8-hour shifts
40 hours per week
Schedule must include at least one weekend shift (e.g., Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday)
Flexible start time options available
EMR: Epic (Rehab module / Rehab Navigator)

Requirements

Active Virginia (VA) OT license required if applicable
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation
Proficiency with Epic, specifically the Rehab module and Rehab Navigator

Additional Information

No on-call or holiday coverage requirements for this position

Highly critically ill patients with management keeping respiratory, nursing, and CNA staff greatly understaffed anf always falling behing. They also hire a large number of nurses whos English is not proficient for clear and reliable communications. Management falsifies documents and lies in HR correspondence. Very hard place to work if you’re not able to adjust to these land mines.
