Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 36-hour/week travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a NM or Compact RN license.

Details

• Small community hospital setting with 19 total beds, including a 6-bed ICU and 13-bed Med/Surg & Pediatrics unit
• ICU patient ratio of 3:1; Med/Surg and Pediatrics ratio of up to 7:1
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Epic EMR used on-site; prior experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact State
• Minimum 2 years of current ICU experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (both through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross), and NIHSS
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
• Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• English proficiency required (speaking, reading, and writing)

Additional Information

• Candidates must pass an on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test, administered during first-day orientation, before beginning the assignment; one retest is permitted upon failure, but a second failure will result in contract termination
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of Presbyterian Health Services must wait at least one year before being considered as a traveler
• No charge or preceptor responsibilities required
• Any color or pattern of scrubs is acceptable
