Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg Tele position requiring cardiac experience and a MA RN license, working nights on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Float pool position based out of the McCann unit, covering Med/Surg Tele and Tele units including medical, surgical, and observation units
• Patient population includes medical, surgical, and observation cases with telemetry monitoring needs
• Travelers may work across 2 different units within a single 12-hour shift depending on census and need
• Staff placement is determined based on unit needs during bed meetings
• The Avasure video monitoring system is used to observe up to 12 patients at a time; nurses may be assigned to relieve the Avasure office monitor during breaks and meals
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend coverage required
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2–3 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic or Cerner required

Additional Information

• Float pool team is composed of RNs, PCAs, and OAs
• First-time travelers with 2–3 years of experience are welcome to apply
• Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
