Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, with night shift availability and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Works in the ICU/PCU unit of a 377-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within skillset across all facilities within the state
• No on-call requirements
• Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and LA Fire Card
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/PCU nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission — requests made after submission or offer may be denied
• Scrubs may be any color
• Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
