Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with ICU background for a PCU position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring ACLS, BLS, NIH, and LA Fire Card certifications with night shift availability.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a 377-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• ICU-level nursing background preferred for this PCU role
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within skillset across all facilities within the state
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and LA Fire Card
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — requests made after submission or offer may be denied
• Scrub color is open (any color); L&D and OR scrubs are provided
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
