Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed, all-private-room Cardiac Stepdown unit
• Patient population includes a mix of pulmonary (pneumonia, COPD, BiPAP/CPAP), cardiac (A-fib, heart failure), neuro (stroke), GI (bleed), and surgical patients who are stable but at higher risk of deterioration
• Unit accepts a combination of adult med-surg, telemetry, and stepdown patients based on house-wide bed availability
• Patients do not require invasive monitoring
• Capable of administering critical drips including Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, and Nitroglycerin
• Target patient ratio is 4:1, with a possible 5:1 ratio depending on staffing
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WV RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
