Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a 34-bed telemetry unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and a WV or compact RN license.

Details

34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
Patient ratios of 1:5–7
Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with 4x12-hour shifts
Weekend rotation required (3 weekends per 4-week period)
Charting performed in Cerner EMR
13-week contract with possibility of extension

Requirements

Active WV or compact RN license required
Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
Travel nursing experience is not required
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Scrubs are not provided by the facility
Attendance reliability is critical — candidates should be aware that excessive call-offs may result in contract termination
