Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU/Cardiac Observation Unit position in Atlanta, GA, requiring strong cardiac experience and an active GA or Compact RN license.
Details
- Position is based in a Cardiac Observation Unit within a hospital setting
- Cardiac patient population with high-acuity cases including cardioversions and Lasix drips
- Experience with TEE (transesophageal echocardiography) and cardioversions required
- AM shift, 10-hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of RN experience required
- Strong cardiac experience required, including TEE, Lasix drip management, and cardioversions
- At least 2 years of experience preferred per unit notes
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system; candidates returning to the same facility must wait 18 months
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not on or near a holiday, and a maximum of 3 days if RTO falls on or near a holiday
- Only one holiday RTO request is permitted for the duration of the assignment
- RTO during the holiday period must be spread out and will not be approved if taken on consecutive days
