Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a 13-week Echo/Vascular assignment at an acute care, Level II Trauma hospital, with at least 2 years of experience and RDCS-AE certification required.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, Level II Trauma Center
• Echo/Vascular Sonography department with 5 scanner rooms
• Performs adult echocardiography, stress echo, TEE, and peripheral vascular studies for both inpatient and outpatient populations
• On-site cardiologist available
• Uses Philips Epiq and IE33 ultrasound machines
• Charting in Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic); imaging via Syngo Dynamics and Sectra PACS
• 8-hour day shifts with variable start times between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM
• Weeknight on-call rotation with a 30-minute callback requirement
• Holiday coverage on a rotating on-call basis; weekend call is rare and only when staff are on PTO
• No floating required — coverage is limited to inpatient and outpatient within this facility

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience, with Echo/Vascular experience highly preferred
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• RDCS-AE (via ARDMS) required; RVT and RDCS (via ARDMS or CCI) also required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with adult echocardiography, stress echo, TEE, and peripheral vascular studies
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years of relevant experience

Additional Information

• Performs adult echo, stress echo, TEE, and peripheral vascular studies; IV insertion not required but is a plus for contrast imaging
• Orientation conducted on-site
• Candidates who have previously worked for this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date; hospital approval is required
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• Any color scrubs acceptable; must be clean and professional in appearance
