Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in a rehabilitation setting, treating patients across inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments.

Details

• Position is based in the Rehab department, providing services across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings
• Schedule: Monday & Tuesday 7:30AM–5:00PM, Thursday & Friday 8 hours/day (4 days/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current IL Physical Therapist license required
• Active BLS/BCLS certification required
• Valid driver's license and proof of personal auto insurance required
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience preferred
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration — confirm with your recruiter
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients using PT modalities such as ultrasound, NMES, and iontophoresis, as well as skilled techniques including manual muscle testing and joint ROM measurements
• Instructs patients on the use of adaptive and assistive equipment
• Supervises and directs Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and collaborates with the broader Rehab team
• Designs individualized treatment programs and formulates short- and long-term goals in partnership with patients and families
• Documentation responsibilities include evaluations, progress notes, monthly notes, and discharge summaries in a computerized system
• APTA membership preferred
