Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a large academic medical center
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• AHA or RQI certifications required (copies must be provided)
• Active US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be honored
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing in the following counties are ineligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Competency testing is required for PACU/ICU-level positions, with 2 attempts allowed to pass
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
