Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and multiple AHA certifications including TNCC or ATCN.
Details
- Emergency Department (Emergency Services unit) in a regional medical center setting
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NM RN license or current Compact state RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Required AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC)
- TNCC or ATCN required
- CPI or equivalent preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Must be able to handle emergency and crisis situations, prolonged standing and walking, heavy physical effort to position and transfer patients, and considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Must have hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits, with manual dexterity and fine motor coordination
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Copies of all active certifications required for consideration

- Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served, ensuring quality care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner consistent with unit standards
- Demonstrates clear communication appropriate to the developmental age of the patient and remains sensitive to patients' rights in care delivery
- Works in a fast-paced emergency environment with varied hours and flexibility required due to schedule changes and emergencies
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays is inherent to the role
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidate eligibility is determined on a per-position basis
