Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a combined Labor & Delivery / OB & Med-Surg position requiring active Nebraska or compact licensure and prior L&D experience.

Details

• Hospital-based position covering both the Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery and Med-Surg departments
• Evening/night shift: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM
• Required to work 2 out of every 3 weekends
• Block scheduling is available
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state license currently in hand
• BSN, ADN, or Diploma from an accredited nursing program
• Labor & Delivery experience is required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT
• Ability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally lift over 100 lbs
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform hands-on patient care throughout the shift

Additional Information

• Responsibilities span both L&D/OB and Med-Surg adult and mother/baby patient populations
• Charge Nurse duties may be assigned, including staff coordination, performance improvement, and emergency response
• Patient and family education is an expected component of the role
• Up to 3 shifts may be called off without charge based on patient census
