Description
American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center, with Neuro Tele experience required and first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- Med/Surg Tele unit with a neurological telemetry patient focus
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Floating required between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- No on-call required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or a Compact state currently in hand
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Neuro Tele nursing experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Solid navy blue scrubs required for licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not acceptable
- Free surface parking available in designated Employee/Visitor Parking lots
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; all RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
