Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center, with Neuro Tele experience required and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Med/Surg Tele unit with a neurological telemetry patient focus
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Floating required between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• No on-call required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or a Compact state currently in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Neuro Tele nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Solid navy blue scrubs required for licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not acceptable
• Free surface parking available in designated Employee/Visitor Parking lots
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; all RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
