Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring AHA-certified BLS and ACLS, with ventilator management skills and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital setting
• ICU patient ratio of 1:3; stepdown ratio of 1:4
• Key clinical skills include ventilator management, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• EMR: Cerner PowerChart; medication system: Omnicell
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month required
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state or compact license required
• Current AHA-certified BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
• CCRN preferred
• Prior CCU/ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients required
• Experience with Cerner PowerChart preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and eligible for a local pay rate
• Time off requests during holidays or holiday weeks will not be accommodated — this includes Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day; holiday RTO may be discussed directly with the manager after arriving onsite
