Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit position requiring telemetry skills and a minimum of 1.5–2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stepdown, progressive care, and telemetry-level acuity, which can vary significantly
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4, with flex to 1:5 in emergency situations
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), weekdays with some weekends required
• Blocked schedules will be considered for weekend-only blocks (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required; 2+ years of Stepdown experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required
• Proficiency with IV insertion and telemetry monitoring required
• A copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs are required
• Holiday RTO requests are limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
