Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Florida, requiring PCU or cardiac telemetry experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 332 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry (Overflow/Med Tele) unit
• Patient population includes telemetry, cardiac, and stroke patients
• Experience with vasoactive drips required
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Floating required to all 3 campuses within a 20-mile radius (Martin North, South, and Tradition)
• Block scheduling is not available
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification (Red Cross or AHA) and ACLS required at time of consideration
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry or acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• PCU or cardiac telemetry experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Experience with vasoactive drips and stroke patients required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine (nicotine) required
