Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool position requiring extensive cardiac experience and an active IL RN license, working night shifts across multiple units including Telemetry, Step-Down, and Med-Surg.

Details

• Float Pool position covering multiple units including Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU), ICU/Coronary, Med-Surg Adult, Med-Surg Ortho, Step-Down, Cardiac Telemetry, and Telemetry Med/Surg
• Patient populations include medical-surgical, cardiac telemetry, stroke/neuro, and step-down ICU
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 8-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Extensive cardiac nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state practice acts
• Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family education
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of patients' longitudinal care plans
