Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care (PCU/Stepdown) position in Albany, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro-Progressive or ICU experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Neuro Progressive Care unit (stepdown/progressive care level) in a hospital setting
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro-Progressive/Stepdown or ICU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be honored
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• A Neuro-Progressive competency exam must be completed upon offer — candidates have 2 attempts to pass
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Candidates residing in the following NY counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• RTO must be requested at time of submission — no blocked scheduling
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
