Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a high-volume academic medical center in Boston, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Details

• High-volume Cath Lab setting with 7 procedure rooms, a hybrid OR, and a 12-bay peri-procedural space for patient prep and recovery
• All procedure rooms have been upgraded within the last 1–5 years
• Averages over 30 cases per day, ranging from outpatient right heart catheterizations and stable coronary angiograms to complex coronary, structural, and vascular interventions
• Primary charting system is Epic; hemodynamic measurements are performed on the Siemens Sensis system
• Schedule options include 3x12-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts
• Day shift hours: 07:30–20:00
• Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call is possible during the contract; no weekend or holiday worked shifts
• Candidates can expect approximately 1–2 weeknight call instances and possibly 1 weekend call during the 13-week contract
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
• At least 2 years of ICU experience preferred, plus 1+ year of Cath Lab RN experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required — AHA only; no other providers accepted for this facility
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Siemens Sensis hemodynamic system experience is a plus
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

• The Cath Lab RN serves as a critical member of the patient care team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and a patient/family-centered care philosophy
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates (permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility) are eligible to apply
• No validated parking is available at this Boston location; public transportation is encouraged, and public parking lots are available at rates ranging from $17–$22 per day
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
