Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with IR and Neuro experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II trauma center in Saginaw, MI.
Details
- Full-service 268-bed acute care hospital with a Level II trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Interventional Radiology / Cardiac Cath Lab setting specializing in angiographic and vascular procedures
- 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call requirement of approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month, including holidays
Requirements
- Interventional Radiology experience required
- Neuro experience required
- Active ARRT certification required
- Active AHA BLS required
- Active Michigan state license required (license required if applicable)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
- Current skills checklist (within 1 year) pertinent to Cath Lab required for consideration
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for setting up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures and performing quality control checks on cine radiographic images
- Assists in prepping patients, sterile tray setup, post-cath care, and room cleanup
- Manipulates equipment and sets appropriate techniques on radiographic generators to achieve optimal image quality
- Operates a variety of electronic equipment including cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment, hemodynamic equipment, and pacemakers
- Performs oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements
- The facility is a destination for specialty care including structural heart care, comprehensive stroke and spine care, and minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgical procedures
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested, and all scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — requests made after an offer is extended will not be approved
