Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Women's Services / Labor & Delivery position in Lander, WY, requiring 2 years of OB experience and multiple active certifications including NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• OB / Women's Services unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes L&D/LDRP, postpartum, antepartum, triage, and OB/GYN (e.g., post-op hysterectomy) patients
• Circulates during C-sections, attends deliveries, and provides neonatal assessments in the C-section suite
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to another unit as helping hands or sitter may be required based on facility census
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in L&D/LDRP, postpartum, Level 1 Nursery, and/or OB/GYN
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN (BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association; RQI/RCIS certifications are not accepted)
• All certifications must be valid with no expiration within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, patient assessments, and patient/family education
• Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years and STABLE certification class when offered
• Works as a patient advocate, collaborating across disciplines for patient transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Candidates with prior permanent or contract employment at a Community Health facility should be prepared to disclose facility name, dates worked, and reporting manager
