Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Chicago, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) required
- Charting performed in Cerner
- This is a mandatory float facility — all clinicians are required to float at the facility's discretion, including to locations outside the primary unit and potentially outside primary competency area
- No on-call requirements
- Local candidates are accepted and preferred; candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; no pending licensure accepted
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and NIHSS
- Proof of COVID vaccination required; no exceptions
Additional Information
- Level 1 Trauma Center setting
- When floated outside of primary competency, a team-based care model is utilized
- Floating to other Cook County facilities may be required, with float locations within 50 miles of the primary facility; notification may be provided as little as 2 hours before a shift
- RTO is capped at 5 days maximum for the contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days off at a time
- RTO on weekends will not be approved
- No RTO on holidays, or the day before or after a holiday
- No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
- Any color scrubs are permitted
