Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shifts and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Obstetrical patient population with ratios varying by stage of labor, ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekends required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating may be required as needed
• Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
• Meditech EMR preferred; onsite training available for those without prior experience

Requirements

• Active NC or compact state RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• Current ACLS certification required (must have been obtained within the last 6 months)
• CPI certification must be in hand prior to start
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct care to obstetrical patients, including assessment, medication administration, carrying out provider orders, evaluating treatment effects, and documenting care
• Communicates and collaborates with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Care is provided in adherence to all hospital policies and accreditation standards
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• No RTO will be honored for Easter or Memorial Day weekend
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of offer
