Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry (MS/Tele) Night Shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and strong PCU/CPU background to handle higher-acuity patients.

Details

• Work in a combined Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit (3E CPU) within a hospital setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population with a variety of complex diagnoses including CHF, COPD, NSTEMI, new-onset AFib, arrhythmias, sepsis, and renal failure/AKI
• Unit operates with an average daily census of 30 patients across 22 rooms and 30 beds
• Higher acuity combined unit requiring PCU-level care experience
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong CPU and PCU experience required, particularly with higher-acuity patients

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong CPU and PCU experience and the ability to manage higher-acuity patients may be considered
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
