Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of experience and proficiency in GE and Siemens equipment for an evening shift position at a Level II Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Details
- Work in a high-volume MRI department operating 5 of 6 GE and Siemens scanners in a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Magnet-designated, Primary Stroke Center facility
- Weekly census of 250-300 patients
- Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients; case types include implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac imaging
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Specialized procedures include cardiac, functional, neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and specialty MRI exams
- Equipment includes GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra
- Epic EMR required; McKesson PACS required
- 8-hour evening shifts, Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
- 1-2 first-shift backup on-call shifts per week, with participation in a weekend on-call rotation approximately once every 8 weeks
- Weekend on-call backup coverage Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 AM–9:00 PM, with a 30-minute response time required
- No floating required — MRI department only
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of MRI experience
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
- Active license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Hands-on experience with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra required
- Experience with implantable device, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac MRI patient types required
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
