Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU position requiring 3+ years of NICU experience, BLS and NRP certifications, and a Missouri or Compact RN license.

Details

• 16-bed Level III NICU in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• 13-week contract
• Neonatal patient population with high-risk cases
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:2 or 1:3
• Specialized procedures include bubble CPAP, high flow oxygen, and high-risk deliveries
• Primary equipment is GE-brand
• EMR: Epic
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Float requirement to mother/baby and pediatrics as needed by facility
• On-call as required by facility

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only) and NRP
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level III or higher NICU
• Experience with bubble CPAP, high flow oxygen, and high-risk deliveries required
• STABLE certification required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; exceptions must be client-approved
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential for this role
• Black scrubs required; no t-shirts with writing other than approved facility-branded attire
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates living within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after that, a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required
• The facility is a Level 2 Trauma, Level 2 Stroke, and Level 2 STEMI Center
