Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience to work evening shifts at a Level II Trauma Center acute care hospital.

Details

Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level II Trauma Center with 431 staffed beds
MRI department performs general, MSK, neuro, vascular, and cardiac MR imaging
Patient population includes adults, pediatrics, patients requiring anesthesia or ventilator support, and those with conditional implants
Daily caseload of 10–15 patients
Evening shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM (5x8 hours)
Rotating weekday call (generally 1 day per week), rotating Friday call, and rotating weekend call — call frequency may increase up to 2 days per week based on staffing needs
Holiday rotation required
No floating to sister facilities
Charting in Epic
Uses Philips iSite PACS and Care Logistics software
Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

ARRT certification required; Virginia state license is not required — national ARRT certification is sufficient
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience
Experience with PACS and contrast administration required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Perform a wide range of MRI exams including general, MSK, neuro, vascular, and cardiac imaging
Responsibilities include document scanning and use of Care Logistics software
Scrub color: Caribbean blue
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
RTO requests are accommodated at the manager's discretion
Block schedule requests considered at the manager's discretion
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
