Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with EP experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a cardiac cath lab in West Virginia.

Details

• Acute care cardiac cath lab setting with 3 suites, including EP procedures
• Patient population consists of cardiology patients
• Average of 15–18 cases per day
• Procedures include EP ablations (PVC, Crio, transeptal), laser lead extractions, device work, and use of EP recording systems; experience with Impella, IABP, and INARI required
• Charting system: Epic; equipment includes Toshiba, Carto, and Abbott systems
• 4x10-hour day or afternoon shifts
• Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call required; on-call hours run from 4:30 PM to 6:00 AM with a 30-minute response time
• Position is limited to the Cath Lab and EP — no floating to other units

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including EP
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• ARRT certification required — accepts ARRT (R), ARRT (CI), or ARRT (VI); ARRT (CI) preferred
• WV Radiologic Technology (WVRT) license required if applicable
• Experience with EP recording systems, Impella, IABP, INARI, and EP procedures including Crio, transeptal, and laser lead extractions
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Drivers license address must be from outside 50 miles of the facility
• Two supervisor/peer references required for consideration, including a skills checklist completed within the past year
• Copies of certifications and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and documenting cases, stocking rooms, assisting physicians with EP procedures, and monitoring/circulating EP cases
• Must be proficient with EP recording systems (e.g., Carto, Abbott)
• OR scrubs provided daily
• Unit-specific orientation is provided
• Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered
• Travelers who have worked within the WVU system for a cumulative year must also take a 2-year break before returning
• All candidates interview directly with a unit manager
