Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR and scrub experience for a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting in Kansas.

Details

• Fast-paced IR department operating 7 procedure rooms with a high patient volume of 60-65 cases per day
• Siloed unit setup handling all lines for the entire hospital, including outpatient services
• Cases are managed neck-down with some light neuro overflow (e.g., thyroid biopsies)
• Equipment includes Siemens Artis systems (icono, Q, and zee) — single-plane only, no biplane functionality
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• On-call required as needed; no weekend requirements
• May float to a sister IR location
• Holidays are not required; if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, pay will be adjusted accordingly

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IR experience with scrub experience required
• ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license required — license must be in hand prior to consideration
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Additional Information

• 3+ years of IR experience preferred, along with large hospital, peripheral, and neurovascular experience
• Orientation is held every Monday and Tuesday, with an additional nursing orientation component held Wednesday through Friday on a bi-weekly schedule
• This is a nicotine-free facility
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate; candidates near the Great Bend campus must reside outside a 60-mile radius to qualify for travel pay
