Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a hospital-based outpatient PT department near Myrtle Beach, SC, specializing in orthopedic and general outpatient care.

• Hospital-based outpatient physical therapy department located in Little River, SC, near Myrtle Beach
• Patient population includes orthopedic, general outpatient PT, and geriatric populations
• Schedule options: Mon–Fri 8:00–16:30, or Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 7:00–17:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Outpatient and geriatric population experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA accepted)
• Valid state PT license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients using specialized testing procedures, assessing strength, ROM, coordination, ambulation, transfers, and rehab potential
• Develops individualized plans of care with short- and long-term goals aligned with APTA documentation standards
• Collaborates regularly with PTAs to discuss patient progress and goal-setting
• Applies evidence-based practice and actively seeks research to support clinical interventions
• Assists with schedule adjustments to accommodate changes in departmental caseload
