Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Night Shift position requiring at least 1 year of L&D or PACU experience and active MT or Compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Night shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
  • Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
  • Floating required to Mother/Baby (MB) unit to take couplets, as well as to other units as a safety companion
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active MT or Compact RN license, currently in hand
  • Required certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN or PACU experience

Additional Information

  • Candidate must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Responsibilities follow the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Nurses are expected to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members in care planning and delivery
  • Participation in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development is expected
  • Age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care is a core expectation of the role
