Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Night Shift position requiring at least 1 year of L&D or PACU experience and active MT or Compact RN licensure.

Details

Night shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
Floating required to Mother/Baby (MB) unit to take couplets, as well as to other units as a safety companion
13-week contract

Requirements

Active MT or Compact RN license, currently in hand
Required certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN or PACU experience

Additional Information

Candidate must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Responsibilities follow the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Nurses are expected to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members in care planning and delivery
Participation in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development is expected
Age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care is a core expectation of the role
