Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position at a pediatric medical center, requiring 2 years of Pedi CVICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- High-acuity, fast-paced pediatric cardiovascular ICU setting within a dedicated children's medical center
- Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, surgical CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD/Berlin Heart patients
- Age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status patients, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (updated annually for Group A; every 2 years for Groups B–F)
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience required
- Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide high-acuity cardiovascular nursing care to a pediatric population ranging from neonates through young adults
- Local candidates within the facility's radius may be considered at a reduced pay rate
