Description

American Traveler is seeking an IR Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience and ARRT certification for a Level I Trauma Center with a high-volume, multi-specialty interventional program.

Details

• Work in a Level I Trauma Center IR department with 5 procedure rooms, including 2 Siemens Artis Z rooms (single plane and biplane), 2 Philips Azurion rooms, and a C-arm room for Mediport and tunnel line placements
• Services covered include IR, Neuro IR, Neurosurgery Intervention, and Vascular Surgery, including OR coverage for vascular cases
• Procedures include aneurysm coilings, pipeline stent placement, Onyx AVM treatment, urologic (nephrostomy, PCN, SPT placements), hepatic (bland embolization, Y90, TIPS, transjugular biopsies), dialysis (catheters, declots, fistulas), trauma and GI embolizations, Mediport/tunnel line placement and removal, and paracentesis/thoracentesis
• Frequent use of Jet Stream, AngioJet, CSI, IVUS, and Penumbra systems for revascularization
• Emergent cases are common given the Level I Trauma designation, including Stroke Intervention
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (4x10-hour shifts); a 5x8-hour shift schedule is also an option
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification required
• Current BLS required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Minimum of 1 year of IR experience required
• Recent Level I or comparable Level II Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• Two manager references required for consideration
• License required if applicable; must remain active throughout the duration of the assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Perform a wide range of IR, Neuro IR, and Vascular Surgery procedures across 5 procedure rooms, including OR assignments for vascular cases
• The biplane Siemens Artis Z unit is transitioning to serve as the primary Neuro room
• Mid-level provider room focuses on Mediport placements/removals and paracentesis/thoracentesis procedures
• Mondays typically include 2–3 Neuro Intervention cases
