Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Neuro ICU unit within a large academic medical center in Ohio
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:1-2
• Rotating day and night shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) on a 3x12-hour schedule totaling 36 hours per week
• Day/night rotation occurs every 4 weeks, subject to unit needs and manager clarification at interview
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Skills required include IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who still require a 30-day break)
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront at the time of consideration
