Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of hospital experience for a 13-week inpatient rehabilitation assignment in Richmond, VA.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit in a main hospital building in Richmond, VA
- 44-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Day shift, Mon–Fri with rotating weekends; 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Unit staffing includes 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego
- Documentation via Meditech Expanse
- May float to the acute care hospital when rehab census is low
- Procedures include manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
- Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
Requirements
- Active OT license required (if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Experience with inpatient rehab and stroke evaluation and treatment required
- Allied candidates must have 6 months of active experience within the last 6 months in the role they are applying for
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

- Black scrub bottoms and royal blue tops are the preferred dress code
- AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices are expected on this unit
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
