Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU (Post Surgical) position in Beaumont, TX, requiring critical care experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Post Surgical PACU unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric post-surgical patients
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts per week with variable start times between 0930 and 1200
• 13-week contract with potential for temp-to-perm conversion

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or via compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required — all must be AHA-issued and unexpired
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or related nursing specialty experience
• Critical care experience required
• BSN preferred
• Perioperative RN Residency or recent OR/Perioperative experience preferred
• SS Card required — Canadian SIN not accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care using the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side-effects and effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Educates patients, family members, and caregivers and identifies appropriate resources
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed during onboarding
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates — local candidates are not accepted on this position
