Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring the ability to both scrub and circulate, with on-call responsibilities included in the schedule.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• 40 hours per week on a 5-day schedule with 8-hour shifts (1100–1930)
• On-call required: 12 weekday calls (1900–0700) and 1–2 weekend calls (0700–1900, Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week schedule
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate
• Charting via Cerner
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active RN license in SC or a current compact/multi-state RN license (must not be a permanent resident of SC)
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
• Must be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing required; BSN highly desired
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, and stoop, and frequently lift/move patients
• Must be able to intermittently lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) required

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver patient care
• Serve as a patient advocate and provide education to patients and families
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, patient safety initiatives, and quality standards
• Work environment involves exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and conditions common to a healthcare setting
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
